IIHMR refers to courses offered on-site at the IIHMR over a period of an 8-week term.
Intensive Institute refers to courses offered in a compressed format (e.g. over a period of several days)
Online– refers to courses offered by BSPH faculty on-line over a period of an 8-week term.
Credit units for didactic courses and the MPH Capstone course: 1 credit equals 1 classroom contact hour (or equivalent for on-line classes) per week for 8 weeks. Thus, a one-credit course has 8 classroom hours.  It is also expected that students spend 2 additional hours on extra reading and study for each classroom hour.
Credit units for the Practicum: 1 credit equals 5 hours per week in a practice setting or a total of 40 hours. The 4-credit practicum requirement thus totals 160 hrs devoted to the practicum.
